The workshop that I propose has the ambition to make illumination accessible to all. Lettrines and ornaments in relief, in oriental or medieval style, made by pouring paper pulp, will be used to create tableaux or artist's books. The moulds used are developed and made by me in the workshop, based on my sketches and drawings inspired by ancient manuscripts. This casting technique does not require any technical or artistic pre-requisites (drawing, sculpture...) in order to produce the relief illuminations, nevertheless each miniature remains a unique piece linked to the movement of the hand and the sensibility of each one.
The modalities of the workshop (number of sessions, number of participants...) are defined with the partner according to the target audience. These mediation workshops have already been conducted in various contexts, notably in schools, media libraries and nursing homes. This workshop has met with a certain success when dealing with people with disabilities in the context of associations.
This "Art of paper-enlumination in relief" workshop is intended to be a cross-disciplinary, federative and accessible to all, resolutely avant-garde innovative illuminations.
